3rd V2WORK training for Career Centre staff “Enterprise, Entrepreneurship & Marketing Skills Development and Support”

Over 30 people gathered at the University of Danang in Vietnam from November 27^th to 29^th, 2018, to contribute to and participate in V2WORK’s third training of trainers module for staff from university career centres. The training was delivered by staff from the University of Alicante, the University of Coimbra and FH Joanneum, and included sessions for the sharing of good practices in supporting entrepreneurship by Vietnamese Universities and by student association AIESEC.

This third training of trainers module was centered on supporting students and graduates in acquiring entrepreneurship skills and supporting their entrepreneurial endeavours, as well as understanding the influence of an HEI’s entrepreneurial culture and marketing initiatives. A session on career guidance was also included. Specifically the module aimed at:

Understanding the need to programme the development of an entrepreneurial culture in HEIs, through HEI policies, enterprise and entrepreneurship education (both curricular and extra-curricular), entrepreneurship skills development or entrepreneurship support actions;
Sharing case studies of entrepreneurship skills development and support activities;
Introducing the notion of social entrepreneurship and how it can be developed in HEIs;
Understanding the relationship between inbound marketing in universities and entrepreneurship and career centres;
Understanding the importance of the Career Centers’ activities, concerning Career Guidance and Counseling

Following the training, partners participated in a full-day coordination meeting to discuss the project’s status and plan for next steps. In particular three parallel working groups were held to (1) begin developing a model for Career Centres in Vietnamese HEIs, (2) agree on a structure and guidelines for the Enterprising Ideas Competitions to be launched at each partner university, and then nationally, and (3) to discuss the structure and role of the multi-stakeholder working groups in Career Centres and begin preparing the framework for the Employment & Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Forum to be organised in each province where a V2WORK partner is located.
