Opportunities and challenges for graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship in Dak Lak province

With the theme: Opportunities and challenges for graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship in Dak Lak province, the EE-E Forum was planned and organized for the first time on September 7, 2019 at Tay Nguyen University.

The Forum was to stimulate dialogue among different stakeholders on graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship.

With the participation of nearly 200 people (including: Rector Board, profesors, employers, alumni, students, policy makers), the Forum provided good discussions of young people’s opportunities and challenges. All the participants agreed on the following main points: There exist a gap - enterprises can’t recruit employees they need while many graduates are unemployed; Graduates now lack both professional and job-related skills.These skills need to be trained as subjects within a curriculum and as supplementary courses by CaCe; TNU should be responsible for equipping students with the skills that the labor market needs (by closely collaborating with enterprises).
